>>21901216Basically, instead of using WiFi on your computer to give your internet your computer, you use it in reverse. Your 3DS can connect to your computer's WiFi, and then use its internet connection.
However, at least for the most part, wireless cards in computers can only handle one connection at t time. So, when your 3DS connects to your computer's wireless card, your computer can no longer use its wireless card to connect to WiFi. That is why you then use 3G tethering - so that your computer has an internet connection.
Then you can just follow the guide to change your computer's MAC address, and problem solved. If everything works right, you'll have a new access point (your computer) that your 3DS can connect to.
Google it if you need more help. I'm not on Windows at the moment, so I can't remember all the specifics.
