>>21902883Pretty much this, it's ridiculous how people can actually be happy that they're getting the message we want less in the games.
The problem isn't that these games sold well, the problem is that they sold better than every remake they've made before this. From a technical standpoint, these are probably the laziest remakes they've ever done.
>exact same models (compared to back when they would redraw new sprites for every single Pokemon)This wouldn't be an issue if they had improved performance, which they didn't. They just reused the exact same models. Honestly one of the advantages of going 3D is supposed to be that it's easier to fix animations and such because you don't have to redraw shit from the ground up like you do with 2D stuff, but regardless they kept it all the same.
>copying the MaisonI'm not against removal of Battle Frontier specifically, but in this case it's clear they did it because of laziness because they just straight pasted the Maison- what makes this really insulting was how they avoided the question in interviews- they KNEW they were being lazy.
It's true that they did this in HGSS as well, but it was lazy there too- but at least it was replacing a smaller facility that had existed in Crystal.
Also I've always had a problem with them downsizing the postgame facilities at all since Emerald, why even do that? If you're going to have them at least keep it at the same amount of content.
The worst thing though, is that it confirmed to them that they can split they newly added Pokemon throughout a generation and it will help them sell more games throughout the generation as opposed to just adding them all at once in the first release. Enjoy your gen 6.8 if we get a third release, and expect the same shit to occur in every gen from now on.
