The problem is they use a formula to calculate it, which worked perfectly with 16 types (Normal didn't count).

Adding a 17th type fucks everything up.

They should just not make Hidden Powers IV reliant at all because that's dumb as fuck. They should just make the Pokemon roll a random type and have an NPC in game change it to their liking.

It's not that well hidden. You have NPCs who tell you exactly what element your Pokemon has and even tells you how they determine it: through IVs, which can be manipulated but takes hours if not days of grinding and breeding. It's just another thing that needs to be streamlined.

I don't breed for HP. Like any rational person, I just powersave the result I want. I'm not breeding just to get a certain coverage move that requires jumping through hoops just to find out the IV distribution. All GF is doing is discouraging those who do want to make a competitive Pokemon team through honest means.

There is quiver dance, they could give it to more pokes but I would be really careful handing it out. Since it is one of the best stat boost moves in the game.
