>>219019021. Make sure to max the stat by forcefeeding Pokeblocks. There's no limits, Rainbow is still recommended (use 4 berries of different color/taste categories). Check your contest status page: once you max it it's going to be obvious, there will be a shine on the stat distinguishing it from the other categories.
2. Once maxed, have the mon be at the front of your party and talk to the old man who's president of Pokemon Fan Club in Slateport, southwest of Slateport contest hall
3. Your appeal is fucking bonkers. Messing up during talent phase is less important since audience will be floored by your looks.
I don't know the moves, I've cleared all Masters without too much trouble. I will say that moves that do better when you go first are really good (i.e. Magical Leaf, Aerial Ace), especially if you ace appeal stage since you're guaranteed to start first by maxing appeal + equipping the scarf the president gives you. Try to predict the excitement star meter also: when it looks like it's getting full and you won't manage to get it, might be good to pack an anti-hype move to bring it down (i.e. for Cool, that'd be Cute and Clever).
Can't really think of anything else, super high appeal moves like Hammer Arm and Leaf Storm were nice (6 hearts), you just have to make sure to use them when you're 3rd/4th and when you're pretty sure the mon coming after you won't use a jamming move (tradeoff to 6 star moves is if you get startled, you lose ALL hearts gained). Jamming and protecting moves were okay to my experience, I honestly found the contests very easy as long as you max appeal and keep an eye on the star meter so you can try timing it and have the bar ding on your turn. For that reason though going full moveset adhering to one category isn't recommended (i.e. packing 4 cool moves while doing cool tests); slap on at least one anti-hype move and/or neutral hype move.
