Hate? No.
Vileplume just suffers from Gen 1 problems of having a type shared with a bunch of other pokemon, a bland movepool, and bad bst and spread. It just makes it not stand out as it is in every way inferior to similar pokemon.

I don't hate it, I just don't care about it. There are better grass types, there are better poison types, hell there are better grass/poison types in its own debut generation. It isn't even cute like Bellosom.
