I was saying they weren't good, dummy. The way I trailed off meant "not so much", as in they were not good at all.

He designed Mega Venusaur though, that was okay.

I think it's nice that its color stands out from the rest of the design. Though it probably would've been a good idea to make the claws the same color.

Sugimori barely designs any pokemon, he just does their final artwork. He didn't even design pikachu, that was Atsuko Nishida. He also created some of the worst abominations in the series like lucario and blaziken.

Sugi is overrated.

I think overall they're just as good as the XY ones.

A few of 'em suck, like Sharpedo and Glalie, but I think the good ones, like Gallade, Lopunny, and Sableye, are REALLY good.

swampert, pidgeot ray quay quay and steelix all look pretty good, the rest are pretty meh
latios's mega would have been cool if it was just latios's, i get they are technically the same species but it looks kind of bland with that purple coloring

it's a coat of arms.

the beard and collar are regal because it's the KING of dinosaurs, hence the crown. they're also feathers because the whole new 'dinosaurs had feathers' thing.

just because you're too fucking stupid to grasp the concept doesn't mean it's there for no reason. and not every little element has to be justified, you're in no position to claim how much it contributes to a design.

he's about the size of an allosaurus, that's not small. pokemon in general aren't huge.

Speaking of which, how much work in that departament comes from under his hands?

While the following promo art for MeGallade is as awesome as it gets, the regular Sugimori's illustration of him looks rushed, with a boring pose and overall appeal that somehow manages to be WORSE than both in-game model and p-bank styled illustration.
