the only legit thing was the porn threads but there was way too many of them, /vp/ was basically a glorified porn board
of course, /tr/ had upsides as well. porn kept most children and normalfags off the board. if you look at /vp/ today it's glaringly obvious how many people here have only browsed /vp/ for a yeah and have never touched any other board on 4chan
either way /vp/ has always been shit
