You seriously think they give two shits about the quality of their games? Why do you think they have rotating teams release games every other year?
Of COURSE Battle Frontier wasn't given at release. It's going to be a $5 DLC download 6 months from now. And 6 months after that, guess what's going to be released?
Trainer customization will come back. It'll come back with the XY remakes, and will probably become a staple in gen 7+. But why put in the work to bother with it in ORAS when you didn't have to? Just do the bare minimum to make sure you have a game to sell every year.
