I'm still sitting in Prof Birch's lab because I'm too bitter to play since no frontier. If I just wanted to play the story, I would have played Emerald. I wanted a frontier with all the new pokemon and items and shit.

If you're playing the game right than that means as soon as you got surf you went from petalburg, to dewford, to slateport's water route system. When you got fly you went back to littleroot and went around with the item finder, cut, etc.
I'm playing this game to the fullest.

I'm going through AS much more slowly than I typically do for Pokemon games. I put AT LEAST a dozen hours a day on White 2 when it first released. For AS, some days I don't even touch it.
I just don't feel the need to rush this one. I've already done my time in the meta with over a thousand hours on Y, I already have a full living Pokedex so I'm not jumping at the chance of catching post-game legendaries, and although updates to both graphics and gameplay are nice, it's still the same region and story I've played through a dozen times over the years.
I just caught Primal Kyogre with a crit capture with my Sceptile being my last Pokemon standing though, and that was pretty amazing.

I'm taking it easy, I just got Latias.

I'm playing set + no megas + no exp share + skip every wild battle + have everyone on the same level + no gifts + no EV training + once you enter a route/gym you can't backtrack in order to heal.
Since Gardevoir is an exp sponge I end up being on the same level of the trainers I meet, if not underleveled, so I'm having a somewhat nice difficulty.

My starter is 47, while the rest of my team is 45. They shall be 52 and 50 once I battle the twins, which in the originals, they would be 50 after grinding for a while before fighting the elite four
