I don't remember if it was on XY, but during the flying animation you use the ball texture of the one your pokémon is in instead of a generic pokeball

This was not on XY. It was always a generic pokéball.

A nice thing that's also new, is that now buying 10 of any pokéball gives you a free Premier Ball. I loved that.
