I usually run a Gardevoir in both. I'm not a fan of the other Psychic or Fairy types, so it works out both ways for me.

sturdy and ice shard are just so reliable.
Lapras.
durable, and water absorb owns.
I like to shout "Checkmate!" when the opponent has to leave Suikune as a last one.

I never understand why somebody would repeatedly use the same pokemon, even if they did really enjoy them. In a game like this with such an absurd number of characters to choose from, it seems silly to do anything but pick stuff you've never used before.

Nah, I try to change it up everytime I play. A few years has to pass for me before I use a pokemon again. Typhlosion and Kingdra are two of My favorite pokemon, I haven't used Kingdra in like 4 years, god... maybe 8 since Tyhplosion. Think I'm gonna have to use him next playthrough.
