I use exp share. Before ORAS I never used it, and I would sit in one spot and spend a good hour doing nothing but grinding each mon until they were all within 2 or so levels of eachother, but having the exp share at the beginning of the game takes away the tediousness of leveling 6 Pokemon.

That saps the fun. That's just a dick move. What sport is there in having an uber secret base team? It doesn't stop people from grabbing your flag. I don't think the game tells you how many people your secret base proxy has beaten. You're just shitting on people who wandered in with a normal team. And the secret bases are supposed to be an opportunity for self expression, you can decorate the base however you want, you can have people battle against any three pokemon that you would want. Using events and legends is pretty much "I can't think for myself."

I haven't gotten a destiny knot yet, so I can't breed by simple Bibarel gag team yet.

Seriously, what's the problem about using Metagross now? It's been nerfed plenty of times now and without a mega stone, it's one of the weakest pseudos.
Also I've never used metagross or a psuedo in-game before so I wanted to try it for once. It still died a lot from dark and ghost type moves.

I generally dislike Hoenn designs and I've played through Hoenn twice before the traditional way buildinga team along the way. This was the first game where I assembled all of my bros. Imported them from Y at level 1 but didn't use EXP share to compensate for the level boosting. It was the most fun I've had with a while. I usually just batter through with my starter and then like one equally leveled bro and forget about the rest of my team. This time I used my whole team equally and had an attachment to each one.

I always end up keeping pokemon like Latios that "want to join me on my journey" in my party because I'm too sentimental, even if it doesn't make much sense in terms of typing. Similar thing with the Lapras in X; I felt guilty just leaving it in the box because the guy gave it to me so it could "experience the world".
