Man, I hope this game never gets easier. When I finally get my coverage moves up and my guys evolved it's gonna suck, I just know that I'm going to steamroll everything.

Wasn't too easy for me, but I had a smooth ride the entire main game. Champion battle against Steven was a huge smack to the face, though - I didn't have anything strong enough to breeze by his Megagross and he had a Full Restore.

Post-game's real fun too.

I didn't use Exp. Share or Mega Evolutions at all.

I basically just tried to recreate my original Ruby run.

I didnt use EXP share, but ran 4 megas, and had a team of fairly mid-high tier mons, game was hard as fuck, constantly got outsped and OHKO'd and had to come up with some crazy strategy to win (for steven I had to pivot aggron out to heal a fuckton while sacraficing the rest of my team so that he could lower megagross' speed enough for dusclops to get the will-o-wisp in, allowing sceptile to take the hits it needed to get off its EQ's)

So I boxed them, got a bunch of lvl 1 Hoenn mons I wanted to try out, and started using them right then and there riight after I finish EV training them, Macho Brace'll do and I have the other tools, including Pokerus, Fly, and Sweet Scent

I mean, I still enjoyed the main game a lot. ORAS is GOAT, but I really wish I had taken my time to just enjoy it. I'm tempted to start all over, but I dunno.
At this point, all I can do is breed, catch the other legendaries, and work on that Dragon monotype team I've been hoping for.

Same here. Didn't use exp share at all. Only had 1 mega, was severely underleveled and at a type disadvantage for Steven (3 mons weak to poison and his Cradily w/ sludge bomb kept wrecking my shit).
I devised a strategy that allowed me to sweep everyone on his team except metagross. The way I beat him was reviving my mega altaria who was the only one that could survive 1 hit of giga impact in the red. Since it had a recharge turn I used full restores then some dire hits and x-specials. Managed to finally off him with a crit draco meteor. Fuck, that was so satisfying because it took like 10 resets to find a reliable setup. ORAS is GOAT

I don't think you miss any side missions, but fuck, it feels awful to just rush through a game.

It feels like a total chore now cause I have to go back and do all the things I should have done (contests, growing berries, pokemon amie, secret bases) little by little over the journey.
