>>21951494Ive always thought Pidgeot was the best looking regional bird, and one of the better flying types besides a few like Altaria and Crobat. I never really used it because of how bad it is but every single game I played where I could (RB, GS, SS, Y, and sort of in OR) I caught a Pidgey and named it Otto or Atta, depending on gender.
I never got far with it though; In Y, I stopped using it at level 24 and never used it again except when I was filling out the Kanto dex so I had to evolve it.
Glad it got a Mega, desperately needed it as bad as Beedrill did (Butterfree is still the best butterfly 'mon, statistically speaking, though its weak in general.), shame it doesnt look super great and its completely terrible though.
tl;dr, Pidgeot had a wide fanbase before Twitch or the mega, and it needed a boost. Shame it didnt actually get one.
