Using this guide.

First step type this shit in the command prompt

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=NZ@McD1 key=*<password>*

Keep giving me that message

I do in fact run as admin. I right click to make sure of that, but considering I only have one profile on my pc I imagine its admin by default no?

As for the password im confused by what part of the field im supposed to leave out. DO I just ignore the whole string altogether and type something else, or do i have to encapsulate the password around that shit?

If you have the macshift software you can reset your computers mac address to what it was by using this cmd line:

macshift -i "Wi-Fi" -d

You're creating a spoofed network that tries to imitate a Nintendo Zone

There's not really a need to change it back because it won't interfere with your actual internet when the hosted network is stopped

Sure about that? Im in the control panel under network and sharing center and its currently telling me that wifi is limited and that the network is unidentified. If I was living alone it wouldnt be a problem, but I dont. I imagine this trick basically means the wifi of the router doesnt work the way it normally does

Whenever I do it, cmd spits back at me 'Could not find adapter name 'Wi-Fi'' or whatever the fuck I decided to call it. I did however rename the network to Wi-Fi.

What the fuck am I doing wrong?

how the fuck do i fidn out what wifi name is supposed to be? I figure it isnt the name i gave to the router, and Its not NZ@McD1.

And how the hell do I set the mac address? I set it with the numbers and letetrs themselves and none of the other crap, but command prompt keeps telling me that shits invalid

normally when you have a string like that you type underscores so that the computer uses the entire name, if you put spaces it only takes the first string before the first space

Alright, so im there but there seems to be two different wifi connections. I imagine the middle one is one I use?

league of wifi isnt my ssid, my old roommate set it to that. I changed it recently to wifi of the ancientsbut only the wifi connection changed to that, the ethernet name stayed the same for what ever reason

I forgot one step in the reddit guide. I was supposed to configure my 3ds sot hat it would connect to the hotspot. Ive tried doign this, but it gives me the error on the 3ds that while i was able to connect to the hotspot, the hotspot did not have internet access. What do
