I did. Torchic has always been my starter of choice for Hoenn. I like Treecko and Grovyle, but there's something about Sceptile that makes me go "meh". Though the Mega fixes that entirely.

And I never liked the Mudkip line.

I had a shiny Treeco and a perfectly bred Mudkip in XY, and also never used the event Torchic. So I picked him in ORAS.

Plus Ludicolo is my real starter in ORAS

Blaziken is the easiest of modos though.

My real starter was Hoopa an I already got the stone for kickin chicken in XY. So I figured I'd just pick Mudkip to make myself a doubles rain team and I'd buy sceptile's stone later
