My theory is that she believed Maxie's speeches so hard she tried to turn herself into a robot so she could be completely loyal to him. It's only when she fights the main character that she starts finding interest in you for being so strong. That interest fades when you defeat Maxie, where she starts hating you and so, decides to take the whole world down as a show of pure hatred. It's only when Maxie apologizes for all the stuff he shoved into her head that she returns to normal. That scene was cute as fuck.

Devotion to his brother. Matt felt he owed Archie for everything. He saw him as a figure who tried to change things for the better and only had things crash down on him in the end.
