France, and it was the big thing in my middle school.
I lent my PS1 memory card to a friend so he could copy my Crash Team Racing data. When I got back the memory card, ALL my data was erased (CTR, Crash Bandicoot trilogy, Bloody Roar 2, Soul Reaver, Destrega, etc). I don't think he did it on purpose but I didn't care, I was mad as fuck.
So one day, he came to my house with all his Pokémon cards, I forgave hime for the data incident and we played some PS1 since I managed to complete my games again and I had no Game Boy at that time. I took advantage of him going to the toilet to steal his Charizard card, hiding it where he'd never find it: in my dad's room.
When he had to leave, he spent half an hour searching for his card, then gave up when I told him that if I happened to find it, I'll give him it back. I never did, and the card is still in my possession nowadays.
