Use entrainment on a mon. Then send in Shadowtag Leppa Berry Gothitelle. Goth protects every other turn and recycles on the other turns. Struggle does no damage against protect. While Goth has unlimited PP due to recycle Leppa.

There are legitimate instances where battles can surpass crazy amounts of turns. Some stall wars can go over 500. I've personally seen a PO battle between a Gloom and a Vaporeon that spanned 130 turns.

Rather, they should just update the Recycle/Leppa clause a bit. Anything knowing or gaining the move Recycle should actively not be allowed to benefit from a Leppa Berry, whether it holds it or gains its effects somehow.

Yes. Recycle+Leppa on one pokemon is banned. You need to trick Leppa onto something and then trick Leppa back to Gothitelle who has Recycle and Trick. It is a very convoluted strategy that only works on the fullest of retards who never switch.
