I can't stand finishing a game in less than a week, let alone a day like some people do. I mean that's cool I guess, but I feel like you don't get the same experience as the people who take the time to enjoy the environment and do as much as they can before they finish the game. If that means talking to every NPC, finding the perfect mon, or checking each trash can even though it'll probably be empty, then so be it. It's almost a waste of money to just breeze through something so quickly, especially since there's no post game. Sometimes I put down the game for a few days just to postpone the ending.
But I dunno, that's just my take. Everyone has their own way of playing. Don't be ashamed of taking the long route.
