I didn't have an issue with HGSS or BW2, despite playing them as much as I liked with no regards to "pacing" myself. That's because you had shit to look forward to for a long time, you could actually use your bred teams for something outside wi-fi battles with 10 year-olds using legendaries and/or smogonites.
