Should I bother playing ORAS?

My friend is trying to get me to try it out, saying it's the best pokemon game yet, etc.

Yet all I see is a gimmicky cash grab. I didn't like XY all that much, but I played it anyway and got a little enjoyment out of it.

What do you guys think?
