Holy motherfucker. Why are shinies so easy to find in horde encounters? Just found a Shuppet. Also got this one in my FIRST horde encounter in the game.

The chance of finding a shiny in a horde and the chance of finding one through a regular encounter is the same.

It just happens that you're encountering 5 pokemon at once in a horde. More encounters = more chance of a shiny encounter. You were really lucky, so congrats!

I spend over 480 encounters in AS and at least 10 hours of horde hunting in X.
