Strategy is the only way to win. You can throw overpowered mons at every opponent but eventually one will just luckhack you or have perfect counters to everything.

I emphatically advocate using any of Mega Gyarados, Blaziken, Mawile, Lucario, and Kangaskhan. Already obscenely powerful, but can easily boost themselves even higher.

In fact I'd say boosting is one of the easiest, most effective strategies there is. I swept through one of the challenges with a Focus Sash Shell Smash Barbaracle.

Masion is easy, provided you are actually good at the game.

And regarding the "cheating", it's not that hard to work around, some hax will happen but mostly at higer levels nothing game breaking for a good player.

Plus you are aware that they can't use megas right? which makes you alot stronger then the AI. Alot of people tend to do it ez mode with MegaMom and mega Mence. I got to 50 easy using a Slaking.

Stop cying, get strong mons, beat masion, fuck wally.

Did my first try last night on this, running Mega Gallade, Bisharp and Rotom-W. Got destroyed on Battle 4 against an opposing Gallade.

It was on me though, Will-o-Wisp'd it and thought it landed, but it either healed itself with a berry or it missed and I just imagined it getting burned. Then after switching and getting another CC to the face things went south very fast.

Oh well. Still, Maison can be pretty fun!

Only veterans use legendaries, which can be a bit challanging sure but not unfair. Most of the legendaries suck anyway. Legendary is not a synonym for Good pokemon.

I made it from 40 to 50 with only meating like 1 veteran.

Maison feels really easy compared to XY. I'm at 97 right now in singles using greninja, aegislash, and garchomp. This is my first attempt too, no failures whatsoever. I also got the doubles trophy last night and still have a streak going.

I used pretty much my in-game team for super doubles and had no problems whatsoever to get to chatelaine. I used:

Breloom-Altaria (Swampert-gallade)

The AI never knocked out altaria nor swampert

this is literally a complete waste of time. you're doing 50 battles, of course you will run into stuff that counters you. it will happen if you play on battle spot 50 times, it will happen if you play showdown 50 times. you just notice it more because losing matters more when you need to go for a streak. do people honestly think the geniuses at gamefreak are capable of creating a sophisticated enough script to actually counterteam you? even the maison trainers are too retarded to switch 99% of the time outside of trivial stuff like being choice locked into a move you're immune to (key word: immune, they'll stay in if resisted) and perish song.
