Now it's Megamence.

Can't grass type takes a break? Unlike Fighting they weren't even that good from the start...

Grass is pretty solid despite the bird cock sucking going on. Immunity to powder moves is a real cool buff they gave it, makes them so much more useable. It just needs a few tweaks to make it not bad, like giving its pokemon more access to coverage moves like Earth Power, and removing a weakness or giving it something to hit Super Effectively.

No, they are supposed to be a versatile type with lots of offensive, defensive and support options. Their movepool is a lot more diverse than most types.

That or give them a priority move like bullet punch or an accuracy boost to rock pokemon for some of their better moves, or just create new exclusive ones altogether. So many non rock pokemon learn stone edge and stealth rock it's ridiculous.

Fire/Fighting is probably one of the better type combinations, as those Pokemon either have decent stat distribution, a great move pool and abilities that make them more viable (which might be never for Emboar, unfortunately). And most of the great Fire-Pokemon are dual type, which allows them to be more powerful.

But it seems that other Fire-Pokemon can't compete because they're either naturally slow, have shit move coverage, and/or can't take any hits even though they're weak to three very common types.

It's a great offensive type, for sure, but I want a very decent defensive Fire-type that isn't a Legendary. But I guess that's just the niche they fall under.
