Is anyone annoyed that Nintendo 'wasted' the words alpha and omega on that sapphire in Ruby remake?

That's just the point But. sapphire and Ruby theme was ocean and earth. It's a waste to use the alpha and omega pretext for the remake.

They should totally call the next games Pokémon: Vita & Morte but.

They weren't wasted at all. Next Gen likely won't be even close to using letters if that was all of Gen 6's thing. What colors are X and Y supposed to be? What gemstones were Black and White?

Arbitrary restrictions like that really don't have any place with how Gamefreak's been handling things in the past two generations.
They'll probably just name it Z, or maybe they'll name it XX/XY, or maybe they'll just name it Pokemon Green or Hexagon or something.
