Why the hell are people bitching about the battle frontier not being in the game?

I remember nothing but terrible horrible memories from that nonsense. The only thing I liked about it was that the PC next to the entrance allowed you to clone pokemon and thats it, but actually playing it was a nightmare;

-After a while the game would start throwing out perfect counters to everything on your team. It wasn't random they were literal perfect counters with the perfect match-up to your lead pokemon.

-blissey's everywhere with 100% accuracy thunder+fireblast+blizzard+soft boiled, and if the moved connected on your pokemon, and it survived it was ALWAYS Fucking burnt/paralyzed/frozen. ALWAYS!

-OHKO moves seemingly having the equivalent of 95% accuracy.

-there was no shiny lock so the trainers themselves could randomly have shinies

People liked that shit?

i'm glad its gone, and whatever garbage items you get for participating in the frontier can be obtained by easier methods in X and Y or hidden in a cave somewhere.
