I caught Primal Whale with a Master Ball after my 10 try, I rushed through the game with a incomplete and underleveled team so Kyogre pretty much OHKO'd everything if he chooses to use his uber shit water move.

I caught it in a pokeball while it was resting near full health, after killing it 4 times.

Also caught Azelf with 1 pokeball.

You faint it and go back to the Cave of Origin after the E4 like any sane individual would. No cutscenes, more money for supplies by that point, your team is much stronger. Catching it during the story is folly.

I'm with you. Was soft resetting for a decent reshiram, caught every single one within 10 premier balls. Did it about 15-20 times repeatedly. Also caught all the other legends pretty damn easy, I wonder if it has to do with stuff preset when you create your file.

Caught mine with a normal pokeball. Took 32 of the fuckers, but he kept spamming earthquake and prec. blades. Used Flygon because I never tried him back when I played on the GBA. Get fuk't, Levitate made it easy. Used Earthquake to get him in the red anytime he used rest.

Probably could have used a different ball on him, but it's a normal pokeball. It's red. It matches.... sorta.... right?

It really felt like a chore, but basically, it went like this on my end:
>meet Primal Kyogre
>try to paralyze it with Beautifly
>kills it with one shot
>have to use Latias (very tanky SP Def with full EV and Nature)
>have to use heal every third round
>battle goes on so long, Kyogre has to use struggle
>does so much damage, it kills itself

I was so pissed that I wanted to kill it right away, but the second attempt went smoother

>put Latias on first spot
>use Dragon Breath 3 times to get it to low HP, paralyze him the first round
>he didnt even use Aqua Ring
>throw ball and catch him

Isn't Primal Groudon's catch rate ~45 in this game? I swear every ultra ball I chucked at it shook at least twice. The only difficulty was keeping my team alive, fucking precipe blades.
