In the case of JRPGs, we need something with decent writing, a good level scale, a brisk pace with a good transition between overworld and battles, and a good variety of party options (with the ability to actually fully evolve them before the end of the game without obnoxious levels of grinding).

Honestly its not hard GF created BW/BW2 and the games have a good story , good music, good level scaling, good characters and a decent postgame , just put all these characteristics in the Gen 6 engine and voala , you have a good game
