Deck building tips? I'm getting my ass handed to me in this game. Got 3 medals so far though.

I picked up the Bulbasaur deck in the beginning.

I tended to build my deck with 2 types and normal types only. Made it easier to manage energy cards.

Yea. I had never done any TCG ever and found the game fun. There is a tutorial in the beginning that is is pretty effective.

are the staples. Jynz is also good to kill cause 1 psychic flip 2 coins, 10 damage for each if heads. 2 psychic and 1 any energy 20 damage+how many ever counters they have.

Rain dance deck can be good too.

Trainers you want are

3-4 bills, 1 pokedex, potion/super potion, and some gust of wind.

If you can get wigglytuff, do the wave is extremely good.

Trading Card Game The Video Game was a weird kind of difficult

Every card player (not just every boss) has a random number generator that calculates a random series of coding and depending on what the coding lands on before the match depends on how easy or balls hard your opponents set up is

I've had 1 playthrough where I had to fight one boss over and over again because the fucking coin kept giving him the advantage

then in a completely seperate playthrough I bet the whole game I shit you not in 1 hour. All the people I was facing only had the coding to have one pokemon with like 10 other potential bench pokemon buried underneath energies

Drawing is the biggest factor in this game

Put a bunch of Bills, Professor Oaks, Energy Searches and Computer Searches in your deck.
Constantly change up the typing of your deck so that you're either neutral or have an advantage over the club you're facing.
Git gud.

Except for maybe Blastoise it's rarely worth it to base the deck around 2-stage evolutions. There are plenty strong base stage mons that can dish out damage fast. I would recommend having mostly strong base mons and pepare good 1-stage evos like Gyarados on the bench.

>Fire:
Fossil Magmar + Arcanine

>Fighting
Hitmonchan. If you need Lightning resist, Rhyhorn/Rhydon. Scyther pulls even more weight by having Fighting resist.

>Grass
You already have Scyther, so pick something else from the list.

>Water
There really are no good basic Water types (Lapras is meh), and Scyther doesn't care to fight Fire-types. Pick what evolutions line you can support best. Blastoise and Gyarados should be top choices.

>Psychic
Promo Mewtwo.
If you're fighting the Psychic gym, you may prefer Gengar for having no weaknesses.

>Electric
70 HP Electabuzz. He's stupid good and will win you most games by himself against the Water gym.

>Normal
Kangaskhan for sponging attacks and card draw.
