To complete the Hoenn dex and subsequently get the Oval Charm, do all mons need to have the gen 6 pentagon? I want to transfer old legends from bank so I'm not forced to soft reset for them right now. also is Deoxys needed?

Yes. Battled on BW2 during thanksgiving with family.

Now my question. Is pentagon Kyogre/Groudon tradeable? I tried to trade my pentagon Kyogre on GTS for a Groudon and it wouldn't let me put it up. It told me that 'this pokemon is special'
I'm trying to get pentagon Groudon.

So I caught Entei at the Trackless forest, and now I want Suicune, ano I've already battled it once but accidentaly fainted it, so I restarted the game (I saved before) and then left the area to go get a synchronize Ralts. When I came back, it is no longer there. I'm coming back at the times it says to on Serebii for Suicune, but it isn't showing up... Did I do something wrong?

I have a fairly simple question.
I just got into breeding and now have a Miltank breeding with another Miltank with each 5 diffrent perfect IVs and carrying everstone and destiny knot.
Now everything I breed has perfect HP, att,sp att, sp def, and speed.

Anyway, even with Destiny Knot, the sixth IV is random, so it's possible to get that Def. you're just having bad luck.

I'm wrong. I just looked it up after replying. The max boxes is 30 and every box holds 30. So you could fit far more than the full dex.

Timid or Modest would be the best natures. Synchronize works 100% of the time on the story Latias, so you have no excuse not to use it. Google a Pokemon IV calculator and plug in the stats of your Latias to estimate her IVs.
You're guaranteed to have 3x 31 IVs, but getting 5 of the right kind is only twice as likely as getting a shiny. Considering how long it takes to go through the battle and cutscene each time you should settle early and have no regrets, or you'll be doing this a long, long time.

I would probably drop Keckleon for Hariyama or Machoke/champ for fighting; maybe even Breloom.

Mightyena is unfortunately mediocre. I'd say replace it with Magcargo or Camerupt, maybe Torkoal but I don't know if he's useful.

If you really want an ice type, Snorunt is great (both Froslass and Glailie are good) and Walrein is a tank.

Surfing ahead. Thats always the worst segment for me, but it seems less irritating in this due to the changed repel mechanics.

Personally I think this is one of the Pokemon games with the most entertaining elite four and champion battle, so that was a good motivator.

You can fit it onto a full game but you won't have much space left if you're also a breeder. Pokebank is a massive help in that regard plus you won't have to worry about losing all of your work if you lose your game cart. And it only costs about 2 lunches for a whole year and you get lots of free BP from it as well. Definitely worth it.

Bold is also a good nature. I'd say it's better for this latias over timid because Latias' role in OU is a fast defogger, and without defog she loses that niche. Only other thing I guess she would need the speed for is Healing Wish. Latios does the whole "fast dragon special attacker" thing better anyway so you might as well play to her strengths.

Gen 6 has a nice cap, you can't go over 252 on a single stat.
Pokérus multiplies your gains x2, if you're battling something that gives 2, that's 4 ev per battle. Equip a Power Item, and that sums up to a whooping 12 per battle.
So, yeah, it's fairly quickly this time.

Oval Charm doesn't increase the rate of shinies, it just increases the rate of egg production (pokemon that 'seem to get along' have a 50% chance of producing an egg every 255 steps. With the oval charm that would increase to 100%).

The shiny charm (for finishing the national dex) may or may not have an effect on breeding for shinies. I know that it doubles the odds of encountering shinies in the wild, if that also applies to breeding, average would be roughly 15 boxes.

Are you really using macho brace or something? Power items, nigga. Pokerus. You just have to go through 6 battles instead of 5.
And even that's better since in XY there were no guaranteed hordes so connecting cave was the only place to do both HP and Speed reliably, but also had hordes of attack, so you had like a 1/3 chance of getting the horde you actually wanted.

Hell, ORAS even makes it easy as fuck to get protiens and shit so there's not even any reason you shouldn't be starting at 100. 3 battles and a single bag. You'd need 3 battles at 70 anyway since you're still 12 points off from 252.

No. ORAS doesn't even register if they're sixth-gen born like it does in XY, at least as far as 'dex registration goes. I assume Deoxys is not needed, either, but I could be wrong. It wasn't previously needed, though, so I doubt it's change. Then again, it's now available in-game, so maybe they DID change it.

When you use it on a pokemon, it's ability changes from one normal ability to the other. So use it on a swarm scizor and it will get technician as its ability or vice versa. It can't be used on pokemon with only one normal ability, like starters, or on pokemon with their hidden ability.

How is one supposed to do that with fossil pokemon, more specifically Anorith?
