Okay so I decided after playing since Blue/Red to finally breed good IV pokemons and try competitive battles / battle institutes. I know this new Gen gave a lot of new options for breeding like Destiny Knot IV passing and such. I was just wondering if there's a guide in order to breed efficiently, since I know there's too many items that affect breeding and only 2 pokemons to breed.

So would the preffered method be:

1)Get a Perfect IV jap/non US IV ditto by selling my soul
2)Put Destiny Knot on it
3)Breed with whatever pokemon i want to use
4) Wait until I get a good IV one (?)
5)Breed again untill I get the nature I want (?)
6The use everstone on the non ditto pokemon (?)

Should I use power items at some point though? I know they ensure an IV passed on.

(Also if anyone has a jap perfect IV ditto they cloned or whatever and is nice enough to give i would appreciate. FC is in name)
