I'll give you that a good amount of the cries are bad(Can't get enough of Kyogre), but them saying there name over and over would just get horribly annoying real quick.

I played Blue about a year before I first saw the anime. When I found out they jut said their names in the anime instead of growling I thought it was the stupidest fucking shit ever. I still think that. The day GF merges the games with the anime and has them say their names is the day I drop pokemon. I've played every game since Blue and that would literally make me drop this franchise and never look back.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they at least said their names like in the anime.
I'd prefer if it were actual growl sounds and not things that sound like electronic static though.
