Those references hints to things we are experiencing in Emerald, but Emerald wasnt a sequel, it was just extended RS.

This is stupid, GF really fucked things up by not remaking emerald.

Pokemon rewrites regions with new games. R/S/E aren't canon, and the new canon is that things from Emerald are now "coming soon" in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I can't/won't say we're getting a sequel, but who knows with GameFreak anymore. But in the new canon, "Emerald" comes after OR/AS

Well, today nobody expects them to do a remake of a third version. Perhaps they will, for the first time in history. They stated in multiple interviews that they like to do things nobody expects... so who knows.

Them wanting people to buy new games doesn't matter. We're talking a compatibility patch here so you can battle people using the new megas, not putting the new mega stones in XY.

Its like how in fighting games DLC characters are patched into your game so you can play against people using them while you still would need to buy it to play as them.

No, that doesnt make any sense. Delta Episode is enough for Rayquaza dicksucking.

If we are going to get our last game in gen 6 in 2015, then it will be for sure X2/Y2 or whatever related to Kalos. Which leaves Hoenn in despair, kinda, since it feels so unfinished.
