True time traveller here OP comes from a divergent universe not related to our own

The DP remakes took less time to develop than Pokemon Chaos and Serenity and barely draw on Platinum.

The underground is now online and the different areas on the map act like different servers to simplify things big problem is that they lag like there's no tomorrow.

The frontier has been replaced with a battle theme-park but it's a similar situation to the Maison in ORAS except that the five formats are spread out across the park. Good news is that they have an odd rollercoaster minigame that nets you fairly rare berries depending on your score

Streetpass is used in the pal park which now functions like a friend safari in the sense that pokemon are randomly generated based on the primary type of the pokemon on the team of the person you pass and
For example: if you pass someone with a Linoone and Mewtwo it'll produce two normals and two psychics pulled from the regular pokemon pool.

Sorry to say by the way but there's no Episode Reversal, which is what we thought it would be called, but you can visit the Distortion world to catch Giratina and get it's orb. You can't travel around there either you just walk through the portal and take a short walk to it

On another note they added an opposite to mega evolution known as Darkside Evolution. Think of it like this Mega Evolution is the positive bond but Darkside is negative meaning you'll either have to neglect your mon or not use it in order to activate it. Mega evolution now requires you to have max affection in game too.

Out of 24 by now Mewtwo, Electabuzz, Magmar, Jynx, Dialga, Palkia, Regigigas, Kyurem and Darkrai get one. I'll leave the rest as a surprise.

Oh and legends are dotted around because of spacial distortions caused by the legend. Well, that's how I justify it they just use the portals again

Well after Z came out in July 2015 they started churning out games in 6 month increments so they needed to hire temp staff.
These were just unlucky enough to have a Deviantartist work on the cover

You get Giratina's orb from a random NPC near the base of the mountain in the postgame, he says "I saw this thing glowing on the ground after that weird thing happened at Coronet, I don't know what it is so do you want it?"

ACTUAL Futurefag here. Both of these guys are liars.
There is no Diamond/Pearl remakes. In 2016, we get Pokemon Sol and Pokemon Luna, exclusively for the New 3DS.
The big emphasis this time is on battling itself, with this region holding to different "Rules" for pokemon training than other regions. One of the biggest being that players can now hold up to eight mons at a time.
The kicker being more powerful mons take up more slots in you party, with 3rd evos generally taking up 3 slots, and legendaries taking up 4.
Mega evolution still happens, but because mega stones are exclusive to Kalos (and Hoenn), you use a special device that allows your pokemon (with the proper stone) to mega-evolve, but they can only hold that evolution for three turns, and then they revert back and their base stats are halved for the rest of the battle.

They also did away with PP as we now know of it, and instead of each attack having individual PP, it's a single mon-specific meter, that slowly regenerates over time that every attack draws from. There's also a whole slew of new attacks that increase or decrease or freeze or deplete or regenerate that meter.

The games are great, honestly. There was a lot of (understandable) confusion and hate at first, but the community caught on quick. It feels fresh but not alienating, and the metagame is a billion times better for it.
