Come on man, you should know by now that the Pokémon worlds Geography isn't exactly factually accurate.
Also, consider the fact that the map is on its side for convenience. Flip it 90 degrees clockwise, and you'll see all the hotter regions are south, and Sinnoh is up north, notably north of Johto, which makes sense lore-wise too.
