How far are you into ORAS /vp/?

Got my third badge the other day, but haven't really had a lot of time to play recently. Team right now is Grovyle, Gallade and Electrike, gonna add a trapinch and Kecleon when I can but haven't decided on last one, probably a water type.

Got the game on Monday and I'm just coming up to Mauville. My team right now is Combusken , Vigroth, Wingull and Magnemite, all level 23. I'd be a lot further but I keep getting distracted by the Dexnav and backtracking to harvest berries.

I have a question for the thread, why the hell hasn't my Wynaut egg hatched yet? I've been running around with it in my party essentially since I got it, did a lot of extra side stuff including exploring the water routes by Dewford Town, and am now at the Safari Zone with it and it still says it has a long way to go before hatching.

Just went through Aqua's hideout.
I usually make up all my pokemon names myself, but for this playthrough I decided to use names from games and shows and things.
I've got a swampert named Wirt, a zigzagoon named Pumpkin, a Gardevoir named Istarelle, a Flygon named Farore, a banette named Qilby, and an Aggron named Miralis. 5/6 are from something- if you can name them all you'll win my admiration

Finally fucking got it today. Currently at Dewford with Torchic, Poochyena, Wingull and Beldum. Tried to train a Seedot I found with Beat Up but it's fucking hopeless.

Just got AS today and am on the way back home.
Since I don't want to make a thread for this and need to know a couple of things before actually starting the game, does the choice of my starter have any impact on the availability of other pokemon? Getting the worst legendary bird for choosing the best starter in XY was a huge disappointment to me.
Also, can you trade pokemon with people playing XY or are you limited to trading with people playing ORAS? And is it true that you can't change the language you chose in the beginning? Would love to play the game in English this time, but I'd probably need the option to switch to my native language every now and then.

Oh right, team as of now is:

Swampert level 36 (over leveled as it pretty much was my only usable mon up until I got a swablu)
Oddish level 38 (leveling it until it learns moonblast because its a new move)
Swablu level 27 (hyper voice with decent IVs, plan on it being my main mega)
Makuhita level 22

Still not sure if Makuhita will be around all the time but I've still got slots open and I'm not sure what to use.

I've run Sapphire and Emerald around 15 times back in the day, so I don't really need to find any new bros from the 3rd Gen. Only using ones with new Megas and favorites this time around. Also, I've already cleared OR (70 hours in) without any breeding.

I'm just hunting legendaries now. Caught 2/3 legendary dogs, all 3 musketeers, Tornadus, Ho-oh, Heatran, Rayquaza, and Groudon. Uxie refuses to show up for some reason

I've only recently got the 6th gym badge. Not too much time to play because classes.

I've been rotating Pokémon in and out of my team because the Exp. All makes it easy to keep about 12 of them at the level curve. Still wrecked the 6th gym with a Plusle despite no level advantage though.

Only one of them has a nickname due to being wondertraded/pokebanked/GTS'd to me. I really wish people knew how much the Minccino line hurts. It was underestimated in its gen due to the mascot status.

So... Can you get a mystery gift a second time? Or is it a one-time thing? Because I reset my games, A LOT. I've played through Emerald at least 10 times and same with HG and Diamond. I finished AS and OR, and I'm on my second run of AS.

Kind of disappointed overall so far. The framerate issues (even in 2D!) and the "loading screens" between every area really make it feel more like a demake than a remake. And some of the remade music is just terrible, especially the Aqua/Magma battle theme.

But I wasn't expecting it to be too good after XY, so...

The game deals with an alternate reality quantum causality and RSE are a different universe. Also Deoxys has the coolest battle scene, it does the triangle thing from birth island, then erupts in tentacles and makes you fight it to a remixed theme. its really cool experiencing it for the first time.

Its pretty cool, don'cha think?

Just beat Winona, gonna try grinding the rest of my team to 36 before moving on. Was gonna catch a Duskull at Mt. Pyre to finish my team, but my Breloom caught Pokerus so I may wait for Shoal Cave and catch a Snorunt for Froslass instead.
