There are two of those. Nothing indicates whether it's Alain, as seen in the Special, or Red, as seen nowhere that we're aware of.
Given how wildly the main anime has diverged from the games over the course of its ~20 year run, assuming that Steven was talking about Red and not Alain makes the most sense. Otherwise you end up with having to explain how Serena goes back to being a novice trainer six years
Calem and Serena are implied to be at least 16 in XY after picking up her Fenniken at age 10, and how Bonnie, Clemont, Trevor, Tierno, and Shauna have completely failed to age in that timeframe.
