I think i've finally cracked the secret of using Mega Audino successfully. It doesn't need to support your partner in multi-battles, rather your partner needs to support it.

It can boost itself with Calm Mind and heal itself pretty well, but having a partner provide screens, status support, Follow Me, even Acupressure gives it massive gains. In return, Audino uses Healer to keep the teammate alive. Then it can sweep once everything is set up.

Its more of a Mega list in general, a lot of the "doubles" megas like Audino, Camerupt, and Abomasnow are still s outclassed by shit like Salamence, Mega Mama, and Mawile.

Smogon? Isn't that that Pokemon PvP site? Is it trustworthy? I've been using community, but their consensus seems to be that Smogon's too restrictive on do's and don't's.

Trying to build up a DOT team built around Charizard, Aggron and Garchomp/Gyarados but it seems to me it won't be synergised any time soon.

I got the idea to put Solar Beam on my Zard from a guy who claims he got it from there, though.

Altaria can run like 5 sets, and is viable in like 3 tiers, probably 4 but I'm not sure how well it would do in VGC.

Fast offensive DD, bulky DD, Support, Special, mixed lure all work well.

It's actually really good and versatile.

Do bulky DD. Don't listen to the other anon when they say master of none, every set it can use it uses pretty well. It pretty can fill holes in teams like a glue mon or you can build your team around it. It's ridiculously versatile.

I try to avoid Smogon if I can because there's so much theorycrafting on there and I don't want to sink in TOO deep - one, two, some of the young men I know in real life using Smogon are real pricks when it comes to the topic and three, I know a guy who made the Round of 16 back in '11 who's helping me get back into Pokemon. I haven't been on the competitive side of the juice since '04 where I discovered IVs and all that jazz.

Right now, I'm just wondering how I can synergize Stealth Rock Aggron, Wallbuster Garchomp/Gyarados and a Sweeper Y-Zard. X-Zard's a beast based on what I've seen, but I already have Garchomp and don't have Jolly compatibles with Dragon Dance lying around for my girl.

I'll be really honest, though - I did not know Charizard could learn Solar Beam until last year. It's been a real keeper since I bought AS. Haxorus seems like an option for me, but I don't want to be IP Swept in Competitive.

I still don't understand how Mawile is rated so highly - so if people can answer that, at least, it would be appreciated.

You can mix and match, too. A physically defensive special attacker can wall and OHKO Mega Charizard X with Draco, for example. You can also run bulky Dragon Dance, offensive Heal Bell cleric, even a SubRoost Toxic staller.

It's ridiculously versatile, and does everything really well. Just tailor it to whatever your team needs, and it'll fit.

One of the best new Megas, IMO. Love this thing.

Second this. It seems like people forgot that Gardevoir has shit defense, no usable priority and 100 speed is now too slow. You can't abuse a lot of its ability either, it gets moonblast which has a secondary effect and it's just 22BP lower than hypervoice, without mention there are pokemon immune to hypervoice.

Mega-Gard only has shitty physical defense. 135 SpDef is great. Also it gets Will-o-Wisp.

The thing with Mega Gardevoir is that a free turn for it is usually going to equal a KO on something. There isn't that much that switches in on a Hyper Voice and the few things that do are smacked by common coverage moves.

Fairy typing and 100 speed (which isn't good anymore, but it's not awful) is going to land you a lot of free turns.

Medicham is worthless in the current meta. As a wallbreaker it's outclassed by Gardevoir who has the best match-up against Sableye Stall, and nearly every set it can run is done better by Gallade, who's bulkier, faster, and has Knock Off and Swords Dance.

No way Houndoom is not on the level of Alakazam, only Gardevoir stallbreaks harder but Houndoom has the sexy 115 base speed so it's better against offense.

I use Adamant Banette with 252 in Atk and Spd, T-Wave, Protect, Phantom Force and Shadow Sneak, and I find if it doesn't sweep then it at least fucks over the majority of the enemy team.

but I dont see the point in using phantom force

yes its banette's strongest move but it literally makes you set up bait, watch as they switch in a normal type or something

and why not use destiny bond? if youre about to die its a guarantee kill most of the time assuming weather/status isnt a thing
