Make no mistake, the Pomf hate is just a lightning rod for related Bulbapedia grievances. Pomf made himself that with his ridiculously childish outburst about news, the whole "Arceus=Archaic" thing, and even attempting to argue with /vp/ about Pokemon shipping. He's a perfect storm of stupid internet personality that he draws discussion to him.
Bulbapedia itself, even with Pomf gone, has a shit ton of issues. The wiki is both out of date and held in the iron grip of people who won't let other people edit it but don't have the skill or know-how to get the data and graphics up to speed either. It's riddled with adware and malware. The "news" and "editorials" are jokes that no one takes seriously because of bullshit like this

And all of this is ignoring the forums. Not even talking about the whole mod forum scandal, but about the community there, which by all accounts is the typical young mods going power crazy stupidity you see in these situations.
I still check it every so often for some really niche stuff, like a nice chart of when Miracle Eye was introduced and what could learn it when. But the whole thing could be so much better, and it never will because they kicked out or drove away all the people with an ounce of sanity and self awareness and all that's left of the crazies.
