2ds is better, but it's also a fucking block.
Save up for either an xl or an n3ds.

They're not as terrible as people think they are, even if the shape is fucking wonky. They feel nice and play nice.

Personally, however, I prefer the clamshel. Plus the n3ds is probably coming out very soon next year, so it's not really worth it at this point unless you get one super cheap.

Get a 2DS and a nice trigger grip case from Gamestop for $15, it becomes super comfy

2DS is max comfy. No shoddy wifi switch. Vastly superior d-pad, start, select, and home buttons. And slightly better screen than regular 3DS. Go for it.

They raise the comfy, holds like a Gamecube controller
Without a case it's still solid because it's nice to have the controls where the top screen is

I just bought the case for Smash Bros so L + R are easier to access
