I honestly don't see why they don't cap Sneaky Stones at 25%. As it is now, it just really fucks over a lot of Pokemon. The three that manage to still be high-ranked despite taking half HP from it-Charizard Y, Ho-oh, and Talonflame-wouldn't be getting that bad of a buff from them changing it either.

Greninja is also pretty likely to be suspected so "well greninja can RK it" is not the best argument for dropping an uber.

Anyway Ho-oh is way too good for OU and anyone who thinks otherwise is dumb as shit. The only way you could think it's balanced is le sneaky pebbles, but it's basically saying "you are fucked if your opponent has good hazard control."

The part about Talonflame being too good is hilarious though.

You missed Mega Pinsir.
And most of the Pokemon that take 50% from Stealth Rock have other problems that keep them from being viable. Even Volcarona suffers from being a physically frail set-up sweeper with relatively weak Special coverage moves in the most physically offensive, priority-driven metagame ever. Moltres is too slow to be a sweeper and lacks the bulk or power to work as a tank or wallbreaker in higher tiers. Articuno is a defensive Pokemon with only one useful resistance and four dangerous weaknesses. Delibird is a joke. Bug/Flying is just an awful type combination to begin with, and Mega Pinsir is the only thing with that pairing that actually has an OU-caliber stat spread.

The only Pokemon that MIGHT be able to work its way into OU with such a change would be Volcarona, and even then it would still struggle because you'd be buffing Talonflame and Mega Pinsir at the same time.

Gale Wings gives priority to ALL flying type moves so it can roost before it takes a hit and get rid of those nasty flying type weaknesses, not to mention support moves like tailwind are flying type too.

Talonflame also gets stat boosting moves so with in a turn it will be bulkier than Ho-oh and hit just as hard if not harder but with FUCKIN PRIORITY.

Ho-oh has Earthquake and a powerful STAB that burns 50% of the time, its checks are completely different. Like Rotom-W does not even work against Ho-oh, univested Hydro Pump doesn't 2HKO 248/0 sets.

But hey, if Talonflame is about as good as Ho-oh, go ahead and show me some matches of it putting work in ubers. Cause I'll let you know, Talonflame is freaking ass in ubers and doesn't accomplish anything, while Ho-oh is one of the top threats.

If Ho-oh was allowed into OU it would fucking wreck. Brave Bird, and it can heal off the damage just by switching out, and Sacred Fire burning shit.

Look at the numbers instead of just the OHKO at the end, you baka. The point is that Talonflame is only a little better at taking physical hits than Ho-oh AFTER a Bulk Up. Its special bulk is also still extremely lacking. Unless you have Taunt, you get walled and Roared away by Heatran, or walled by just about any Steel-type. You can't carry Brave Bird/Roost/Bulk Up/Sub AND WoW AND Taunt.

Again, the point was that Talonflame's bulk is mediocre even after a Bulk Up and full special investment. So don't say Talonflame is bulkier than Ho-oh. Eh, using Moltres on a rain team isn't a terrible idea thanks to Hurricane and the ability to remove shit like Ferrothorn with ease. Dunno about using it as a Rain Dancer itself, but people used Volcarona for the roughly same purpose on Gen V rain. Then don't rave about specially bulky Talonflame. Not investing in special def means you get manhandled by Rotom-W or Greninja. Point is that Talonflame has to fully invest in special def to have even bulk than Ho-oh. That's more EVs to spend on fun things, like HP, attack, or defense. And for all your talk about priority Roost, you can easily get PP stalled to death as well.

Doesn't matter, Talonflame can only 1HKO greninja with brave bird if it's banded, meaning it can't run your precious Bulk Up, Swords Dance, or WoW, while LO Greninja 1HKOs on the spot.

Steel types never walled Mega Mence, not with Fire Blast. Outside of running Natural Gift, Talonflame can't really do anything to Heatran. Whereas Mence had nothing in OU that could counter all the most common sets.
