Don't compare pokemon just cause they have the same ability, Espeon is garbage and, well, Mega Absol is pretty bad but if it manages to get a turn to boost (that's the hard part) it's pretty hard to handle for most teams.

It may be pretty bad, and possibly worse than Espeon as a bouncer because it uses your Mega slot and can't immediately switch in and bounce something while still being incredibly frail, but it's fluffier and more attractive than Espeon is.
