Throughout the game I just mentally erased over the image I saw of the young, androgynous kid with the dopey sock hat. Just saw myself as an older, buff bara guy with a southern accent and a love of tough, rugged, usually Ground-type Pokemon.

I was underlevelled and after taking down most of his team his Mega Gallade took down my Mega Sceptile and swept my team. Chimecho, my final pokemon survived it's slash with 5HP and managed to put it to sleep, before using dream eater to take the match. It was a good fight, 10/10 gamefreak.
