Pokemon timeline is linear as fuck. We dont have constant and variables, we have pretty much linear as fuck plot, no choices. Capturing legendaries is considered as non canon, since you can recapture them in other games too, but that's not important. Ruby&Sapphire were first and last games to introduce a kinda different plot based on the version you bought. That was a mistake, because as I said, Pokemon timeline is linear and that shit doesnt make any sense. Then Emerald came, fixed shit out of it, made a nice clash of gods kinda thing, introduced and provided Rayquaza a role etc. Everyone was happy, because that made sense and was awesome. Now, after 12 years we got the same shit again. You would call this something like a huge step backward, but nah. >inb4 multiverse Yeah, an asspull to excuse clusterfuck of the universe we have now, right? What makes Archie winning over Maxie and vice versa? There were no constant and variables introduced.

Or maybe it's a game for children and you should be trying to make sense out of it.

why people so against the idea of a pokemon multiverse? Well, more strange to me, why are so many in denial. It's in their plain as day that pokemon has a multiverse now. Gen 3ers acting like "genwunners"

>>22047862 I was thinking mostly about Infinite, yes. Sadly that multiverse type of shit showed me for once and for all that something like that can ruin a franchise. It's just so easy to throw this and make every wrong decision without any meaning.

Pokemon games are not good. They fuck up everything there is to about a high quality game they might be involved in past the concept of pokemon. What else is new?

Each version is its own universe. In the OR universe, Maxie is able to revive Groudon and Archie doesn't even think about Kyogre. in AS, its the opposite. Those are both offshoots of a main universe (likely an "Emerald"-verse) where they both succeed.
