Were primal reversions already planned in Gen IV? Was Giratina-O supposed one of them?

Also: Which megas and primal conversions do we expect to see in the DP remakes in 2019?

Giratina-O is just an altered form. Nothing really suggests it was meant to be a primal form. But, I do think they'll do something with Dialga and Palkia along those lines. The gods of space and time should stand to be more powerful than the sea and land.

I dunno, I more looking towards X2Y2/Z, Im expecting a lot of gen 6 megas.

Some of them like heliolisk and pyroar really need them.

Im also expecting mega kanto birds.

Primal Reversions are exclusive to Kyogre and Groudon lore-wise. Giratina-O doesn't even come close to them.

They won't do anything with Dialgia and Palkia.

The whole point is that there power comes from nature. Mega Evolutions have the power come from the people. Primal revisions have their power come from nature itself. Kyogre and Groudon are getting buffed by nature itself. We don't need Dialgia and Palkia to be stronger than them, because these guys are only this powerful when they are buffed.

If anything, Dialga and Palkia will probably get Origin Formes (retconning a Sinnoh story element in which you go to their dimension and fight them in their domains in their true forms) while Giratina gets a Mega
And Arceus gets a Form called The Original One where all its base stats max out to 255, it gets all its arms in its design and an ability that makes it immune to everything but Normal while being SE on everything else
