Johto at least has some interesting locations and backstory. Kanto only has the Cinnabar Mansion and arguably Pokemon Tower.

Yeah, it's probably a better idea to leave it at just the shit all events that happen in Kanto, despite all the epic story curves that have set the bar and raised the expectations.
