Since XY, it's neat but I'm not using it because of motor skills.
It's the same with having 'organize boxes' on top on the PC in ORAS; it's the only one I use but I have to use a lot more effort to press just A instead of down, down, A because old habits die hard.

You can pet your Pokemon after you catch/defeat a Pokemon for extra XP by rubbing the bottom screen before it displays the XP gained.

Gotta have 4 or more hearts in Amie though

You can just click the TM symbol next to your HM slave to get to their moves

I only recently learned that if you click on an attack while holding L-button it gives you a description of the move, base power, etc. I used to just go to summary during battle all the time

Another nifty thing is the alternate title screen if you push up on the d pad, X, and B at the same time while Kyogre/Groudon is on the screen
