Cant choose moveset for Kecleon with Protean.

Knock-Off and Stealth Rock are important, what about Elemental Punches? No idea what to do to cover vs. Water/Ground types though.

It needs priority moves since its speed is rather low. Unless your running it in a trick room team?

Shadow Sneak/Sucker Punch/Fake out or protect/Powerup or drain punch is the typical set I go with in a non-Trick room team.

I'm using a Life Orb set in my mono Normal RU team at the moment

Shadow Sneak
Foul Play
Brick Break

Adamant Nature with the expected EVs

He does surprisingly well. No set role, just there to disrupt the other team with prediction games and type switches. He hits harder than expected as well (hard enough in the RU environment at least).

Have you tried drain punch over brick break? I recommend it. And perhaps thunder wave, recover or stealth rock over foul play?

Hey OP, it really depends if you want him to be a supporter or a sweeper. He has so many juicy elemental attacks to abuse that work best under trick room. Don't forget he gets recover as well!

I'll definitely look into Drain Punch.

Thunder Wave isn't a bad idea either, but I do like having Foul Play there for prediction games, either to hit switch ins or if they've seen me Sucker Punch and go for a boost.

Based punching kecleon confirmed Little Mac of the Pokemon arena, it's got almost everything a set needs. Recovery through drain punch, boosting attack through power up punch, and sucker Punch + shadow sneak for great priority coverage.

Kecleon doesnt die to a stiff breeze. On the special side anyway. And besides, Kecleon and Greninja dont play the same role despite sharing the same HA

That is literally the best coverage combo in the game, only way you could change that up is to straight up run Sucker Punch/Drain Punch/Shadow Claw for more power with Trick Room as your final move.

Special bulk, good support movepool, higher coverage and reliable recovery. It's only real problem is it lacks offensive power, I still to this day don't know why it didn't get a +10 buff to atk when they went round buffing stuff at the start of Gen 6.

Kecleon's attacking stat is fine, the main problem is its defense (and speed).
70/60 is literally less defensive than greninja.

It's the other way round 60/70 and 90 atk really isn't fine, it's passable but it really wants the fabled base 100. It'd at least net it a lot more KO's if it could.

No really, with protean and a LO he gets a very solid attack stat (greninja has only 103 blah blah). 60/70 defense is just terrible for such a slow mon and makes it way less usable.
If it had like 60/100/120 bulk it'd be very usable as a fun but midly viable mon in OU, and an actual threat in the lower tiers.
