There's Tentacool, Tentacruel, Clamperl, Chinchou, Lanturn, Wingull, Pelipper, Relicanth, Magikarp, Wailmer, Finneon, Frillish, Alomomola, Seel, Corsola and Luvdisc. I'd say that's a fair bit of variety.

I hate this about the remakes in general. Lol the original did things this way so we must preserve its flaws. Enjoy your every later game feature being after the main game is over in FR/LG, retarded level scaling in HG/SS, and retarded villain team parties and 2 bikes you cant get both until after you wouldnt even care anymore. Also we un combined the Pokemart and Center again because fuck you.

Magma could have used: the Baltoy line (like Emerald), Geodude line, Rhyhorn line, Trapinch line, Torkoal, Magcargo, Vulpix, Lairon
Aqua could have used: I don't even need to say, Hoenn is full of water
At the very least the ADMINS should have had different signatures

They actually downgraded the Gym Leader teams from Emerald.
Wattson is back to not having any Hoenn Pokemon, what is this Johto? Even though you can see Plusle and Minun in his house. He should have used Macnetric like in Emerald and the PWT
Norman is back to only using one evolution line.
Tate and Liza only have 1 mon each, I beat them with 1 surf

Eh, the games still have slightly better AI than before and they buffed everything past Norman considerably, Emerald teams would be a plus but taking everything else into consideration I would say they're on par.
